The camera's function is to collect data to be processed by different systems, one of which detects pedestrians in a broader landscape.
Both cameras can also detect an oncoming vehicle in front or coming from the front of the vehicle or vehicles passing by, and then evaluate the three-dimensional image information to determine the speed and position.
In addition to the Multi-Purpose Stereo Camera, Mercedes-Benz also introduced the latest version of the sensor system Multi-Mode Radar. Collision Prevention Assist, based collision warning radar system with adaptive Brake Assist is standard equipment both on the E-Class sedan and wagon.
